SERP Snippet Preview
Search engines shorten titles and descriptions by on-screen width, not a fixed number of characters. This tool measures your text in pixels with your browser’s fonts and shows where it is likely to be cut. Google may also rewrite titles and snippets entirely, so treat the result as guidance.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your input and files are not uploaded to any server.
How to use
- Type your page title, URL and meta description.
- Switch between desktop and mobile.
- Shorten or reorder text until the important words appear before the cut-off.
Examples

Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab and use the tool. Your file never appears in an upload request. Once this page is saved for offline use, you can also disconnect from the internet and keep working. Ads and anonymous visit statistics, when enabled, make their own requests, but they never receive your files or text.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the pixel measurement?
It uses Arial at the sizes commonly used in results (about 20 px for titles and 14 px for descriptions) with limits of roughly 600 px and 920 px on desktop. Real results use different fonts per platform and change over time.
Why does Google show a different title?
Google may rewrite titles and descriptions when it thinks another text better matches the search. Clear, accurate titles are rewritten less often.
